About Joyce Coffey Barth Growing up in a small town formed the foundation for Joyce's care-free uncomplicated works of art. Her bright, bold strokes over layers of color create simplistic subjects, saying no more or no less, bringing a movement and energy to her work. Oakland, California 1947-1964 - Raised in Southern California. While attending Elementary School and High School, she won art ribbons, awards, and an art scholarship from her school and community. 1964-1968 Attended Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, Arizona. Graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in Education and minor in Art. 1968-2009 Taught Elementary classes, art classes, and gave private art lessons. During this time also enrolling in Education and art classes. She owned and operated Juniper Mountain Gallery in Flagstaff, Arizona selling and framing limited edition prints, local art, and her own watercolors.
